I would like to know the name of the song you sang before the break Friday night,my daughter was wanting her husband to hear it. We just found out that we are moving next week to a mere 45 minutes from Gulf Shores. Visited there a couple of weeks ago and the dangerous marine life one of our days were stingrays swimming among those millions of bait fish. Plenty of beautiful beaches that were safe, though.
I haven’t lived there in 20 years, but something about being there, seeing the mountains and the water and breathing that Pacific Northwest air is just special. I feel it to the core of myself that regardless of geography, it will always be home. If you’d like to go, it’s not too late! I’ll never forget our first Living Proof Live event in Charlotte, NC. It was in June, 2001. We were in the middle of our 4th year serving with Beth Moore and LifeWay with Living Proof Live.
King of Glory, King of Love
We live in the midwest but love the ocean. It is a great place to recharge and we all need that once in awhile. You are a great blogger and a great worship leader. It allows me to keep up with you/your family and our old church home.
I’m talking LOTS AND LOTS OF FISH. I saw your video for “Got skills”, and I was thinking that you should appeal more to your teens for help in the music. Their is some really great talent out there, and attracting them into church can only be a blessing!
Jesus Saves Live
You and your praise music team are such a wonderful part of the weekend worship experience. I hope you all have a wonderful time in Charlotte! I had originally planned to be there, but my Student Pastor roped me into chaperoning our youth trip to Camp Caswell jk 🙂 ….. Actually I am looking forward to going….just wish I was able to go to LPL also!!
Ahhh, the blessing of time with the family…..time to ponder…. I'm an ocean girl and during the last trip we took to Myrtle Beach, we couldn't swim because of sharks. I never remember that growing up and I've gone there all my life. It has been a CRAZY year, with our move, with a new, very time-consuming job, and with the writing of the book.
My Hope
She had 4 days to learn about 40 songs. I’m so thankful for that prompting from the Lord. Mandisa sang with us for 5 years, and even managed our ministry office for much of that time.
We had already seen God do so much in the first 4 years of serving with Beth, we were google-eyed for most of the time. My mind is wandering to next week. We have a Living Proof Live event in Charlotte. I'm so happy you and your precious family were able to do this.
Also living nearby is their daughter Kelsey, inspirational actress and wife of Christian recording artist Kyle Kupecky. Yes, plan on being there in Charlotte! A trio at our church this morning did the Revelation song and it made me think of LPL.
I love Beth and love you and your worship team! Jesus Saves Live is my most favorite…my girls and I listen to it ALL the time especially when something is going on that we need to stay focused on the One who can help. His current favorite hobby is to stay busy volunteering at his kids’ school…encouraging kids at play practices, basketball games and tennis matches. I can’t wait to get home and see my family! I will write more later about the great weekend. This was the first set of consecutive days in months that I had time to actually think and process thoughts and ponder and evaluate.
Not going to be there, just wanted to say this is a sweet post. I’ll be praying for your team as you minister. I totally understand the going home thing. I feel that way when I travel to my home state of Washington.
By the time our Charlotte event rolled around in 2001, Beth and our LifeWay LPL team felt like family. So I was pretty much on stun, and pumped to welcome my ministry family to the Motherland. I hope you all are having a good week. All is well here in the Cottrell household. We are working hard to stay cool…in the literal sense of the word.
His warm yet powerful style engages even the most resistant group into irresistible worship. What I love best about Travis is that he is not a performer. Looking forward to being at my 2nd conference, this one I get to share with my daughter. But I was extra pumped for Charlotte. I’m a NC boy, born, bred and Carolina proud.
